Being adventure addicts, HikeSnobs are always looking for new sights to explore. Luckily, Linda keeps a “Bucket List” on her phone that she resorts to when she’s bored and wants to do something new. So what was next on the list? Drum roll pleeeeeease…… Paradise Falls!
Once you’ve parked, you can follow Mesa Trail and take the second left. You will eventually hit the tepee and there will be signs for Paradise Falls.
Take the right and keep an eye out for a left turn onto a steep hill that will take you down to the falls. This will be a short sign pointing you down and it may be easy to miss.
Once you’re down there, find a path to the other side of the falls for better views. Just make sure you don’t get your shoes wet! You can explore the area and find the lookout above the falls. You can’t climb up or down to the top of the falls unless you’re a skilled rock climber… Linda tried (but not hard enough!).
Paradise Falls is such a short and easy hike, it’s worth the quick trip! Just remember, Los Angeles is all about traffic congestion so plan your day accordingly.
- If you’re hungry after the hike, you can go to Hooter’s for some wiiiiiings and fried pickles ;P If you’re not into Hooter’s, there’s other places you can eat at around there.
